Eight things, and you can run the whole site.
A short written walk-through, mirrored by a screen-recorded video handed over with the site. Nothing here needs code.
- Sign in. Go to yourdomain.com.au/wp-admin and sign in with the username and password handed over at go-live. Bookmark it.
- Change a piece of text. Pages → pick the page → click into the block you want, type over it, then Update. There is no page builder to learn: the blocks are ordinary WordPress blocks.
- Add a journal post. Posts → Add New. Give it a title, write the body, set a Featured image (this is the photograph that appears on the journal grid and the home page), choose a category, then Publish. It appears on /journal/ and on the home page automatically — nothing else to touch.
- Swap a photograph. Media → Add New to upload, then edit the page or post and replace the image in place. Upload the largest version you have; the site generates the small ones itself.
- Update transport pricing. Pages → Transport. The rate table is a simple list — edit the numbers and press Update.
- Change the application form. Pages → Apply. Paste the Google Form embed URL into the single form field. Swapping to a new form later is a one-line change.
- See enquiries. Every contact-form enquiry arrives by email and is also stored in Enquiries in the dashboard, so nothing is lost to a spam folder.
- Keep it fast. The only rule: do not install a page builder or a ‘speed’ plugin. The theme is hand written and already does the caching, the image sizes and the lazy loading.
