Health first
Health screening and thoughtful breeding decisions, so that every puppy begins from the strongest possible position — not from a hopeful guess.

Red, apricot and black. Health tested, champion sired, and brought up underfoot in a family home — so the dog who arrives at your door is ready for the café, the coast path and the long way round.

Paradore is a small, home-based program on the Mornington Peninsula. We are registered with the Australian National Kennel Council, we breed a handful of litters each year, and we plan every one of them a long time before there is a puppy to talk about.
That is the whole of it. No waiting-list lottery, no litter-on-demand, and no puppy sent to a home we have not spoken with properly.
“We aim to preserve the poodle — the intelligence, the soundness and the temperament — not simply to produce one.”
Health screening and thoughtful breeding decisions, so that every puppy begins from the strongest possible position — not from a hopeful guess.
We aim to preserve the poodle. Every litter is planned around outstanding studs who have, at minimum, achieved their championship, and around girls who are confident, trainable, intelligent and affectionate.
Early handling, household noise, new surfaces and gentle first outings. The unglamorous groundwork that turns a good puppy into a settled adult dog.
We don’t believe every puppy is right for every household. The application is simply how we come to understand both of you before anyone commits.
Our relationship doesn’t end at the front gate. Food, grooming, training, the odd anxious question at 11pm — for the whole of your dog’s life.
A handful of litters a year, raised underfoot in our home rather than in a kennel block, because that is the only way we know how to do this well.

Small enough for the café. Sound enough for the coast path.
One breed, three sizes. The standard is a genuine athlete and needs the day to match. The toy is charming but finer-boned than many active households realise.
The miniature sits between them at roughly 28–35cm and 6–8kg: substantial enough for a headland walk and a swim, small enough to fold under a café table and travel in the cabin of your life without ceremony.
Every photograph on this site is a real dog, photographed by a real photographer. Nothing here is generated.

We fly puppies with a pet transport company we have used for years and trust with our own dogs. One flat rate to any capital city, and the travel crate is yours to keep — it is already the crate your puppy has been sleeping in.

Send a note through the contact page. We will tell you honestly what is planned, when, and whether we are the right fit.
A short application helps us understand your household, your days and what you are hoping for. No cost, no obligation, no deposit.
We talk — usually more than once. Puppies are matched on temperament and household, never on deposit order.
Vaccinated, microchipped, vet-checked, desexing contract, and a puppy pack that still smells like the litter.

One breed, three sizes, and a great deal of confusion. Here is the honest comparison — including where each size struggles.
